LIFE SKILLS CLASS The Arc of Cowlitz Valley is proud to offer this educational service to the community. The instructor, Geri Rister, has a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and is an integral asset to The Arc as our Program Director. Please join us and take part in a variety of fun learning experiences. Curriculum focuses on personal development intended to promote such things as: educational and vocational growth; strengths and abilities; self-confidence; individual and cooperative decision-making and conflict resolution; relationship-building; social and communication skills; health and safety awareness; and community integration. Class Schedule and Payment Information The course is held weekly throughout the year, with periodic breaks for Holidays. It is divided into two terms (January - June; August - December) of 20+ classes per term.
*includes membership to The Arc - local, state, and national Students must register and submit payment through The Arc of Cowlitz Valley for each new term. Students do not have to attend one term in order to attend another term. Students are welcome to start class anytime throughout a term. Caregivers and interested family members are welcome to join class and are not expected to pay class fees, though we would appreciate that they inform us of this intention, for space considerations, and they must sign the Signature of Understanding on the Attendant/Observer signature line on the Registration Form.
